Out Tomorrow! Invitations to Abundance

The big day has nearly arrived, faithful readers. And while being able to officially say that I’ve published a book is a pretty cool feeling, you know what I feel even more keenly than that? Gratitude that my words, I hope, will reach further than before to encourage others.

When I wrote the Single Ladies Catechism, which is perhaps the piece I’m most well known for, I didn’t have any expectations for its “success.” I wanted people to read it and be encouraged who were struggling to find God and purpose and self-worth during their singleness. I just saw it as a signpost pointing back to the truth of who God is and who we are and what we were made for. To my surprise, it has been read by tens of thousands of people all over the world. Maybe you are one of them. Maybe that’s how you found me.

Similarly, Invitations to Abundance was written to encourage others struggling to find God in their experience of brokenness, scarcity, weariness, marginalization, defeat, and rebellion struggling to come to God and experience his grace and abundance in those moments. It is full of reminders of who God is, who we are, and what we are made for. When I was asked who my primary audience for the book was in late 2019, I answered anyone old enough to be wearied and disillusioned by the world. Two and a half years later, isn’t this us all?

So I commend this book to you today, not for my profit but for your comfort. Not for my name, but for Christ’s glory. Not for an endorphin boost for me, but that your soul might be buoyed by its truths in whatever season you find yourself.

If you have found comfort in my words on FeetCryMercy before, chances are you’ll find comfort in Invitations to Abundance too. I invite you to read, worship, and be fed. You can check out the first chapter on my publisher’s website here and preorder your copy here. If Invitations to Abundance resonates with you, help other potential readers find it by leaving an honest review on Amazon or Goodreads (you can even check out the reviews already there). Or, tell a friend.

Tomorrow, March 1, I will be doing three short 30-minute online readings and meet-and-greets for launch day around mealtimes. I’d love to see you there!

One thing I’ve learned throughout this process is you never know who out there might most impacted by the words I share with the world. It is often those I’d never have anticipated from places I wouldn’t have imagined who are impacted the most. May God continue to use my words to draw others near to himself and to beautify his church.

Soli Deo Gloria.

Alicia
